What controversy?
Seriously, ACORN has to be the poster child for making a mountain out of a molehill.
Fortunately the American public has more common sense than the rabid right.
Seriously, you all leave folks who aren't part of your group think wondering why? Why ACORN? The Red Cross had a huge controversy with millions of dollars being pilfered. Seems to me it got the treatment it deserved. Most common folk are more likely to believe that bye-and-bye ACORN is probably doing some good work. The Right is making no attempt to separate the wheat from the cafe on this. The right wants to through the baby and bath water out. Which would be the equivalent of calling for the Red Cross to be banished. And you people wonder why the rest of the world rolls its eyes when you loonies walk in the room.

Terry Schiavo was the poster child, after all Congress set a precedent for the first time in history passing a bill that singles out one American with that bill.
Terry Schiavo, ACORN, ... a pattern does emerge that is hard to deny.

drop in the bucket money-wise. |
There's a duo for you. Partners in crime.
So this isn't worth the President's time or focus? He's okay with a community organization - one then, by the way, worked hard to get Democrats elected, but that's irrelevant of course - is caught, not once but numerous times helping, encouraging and advising a p!mp and hooker to smuggle into the country underage girls as sex slaves, and also how to commit tax fraud as well. An organization which has taken millions of our tax dollars, and was eligible for billions more. No big deal. He didn't even know they were receiving tax dollars.
Anyone who believes Obama was not lying is either incredibly ignorant, or just too infatuated with the man that they can't - no, won't - see it.
ACORN isn't going away Washington.
As to videotaping without consent; the fraud exception to that general rule is paramount here. When a fraud is being committed or is contemplated, an individual has a privilege to tape and be protected. This is the general rule in most anti-taping statutes.
As to the end result with ACORN and the guile being perpetrated by the Democrats in Congress to avoid opening the box that contains evidence their own corruption, well the elections of 2010 approach and even the vampire Barbanbus Frank is subject to the light of voter rage.
As to Mr. Reid, well we know he's headed to ignominious defeat. After his defeat, perhaps he can be employed as a casino greeter ... hawking his mega-seller book as he glad-hands the arriving guests. "Hi, I'm Harry Reid, shadow boxer in an ethics mirror where only the littlest man gets to throw the smallest punch." What a vile and forgettable creature he was.
Thanks Ms. Bachmann. We're aware you're there and what you're doing.

I told you to get out of your cave more often, and stop hanging upside down your brain will explode. POP see too late Vamp. |

Intimidating banks into giving dubious mortgages, leading to the economic crash. Breaking into private property and occupying it. Indoctrinating kids into the politics of confrontation and confiscation. Filing false voter registrations, bussing democrat voters into open republican primaries to skew the selection. Yep. They're peaches, right up there with the Brown Shirts. |

connectgions to Acorn since 1991. Go, see for yourselves.
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=110131 |
There are a lot of really powerfull people involved here.Obama is commander in chief of Acorn.He gives his speeches to his socialists organizations namely unions.SEIU is a very powerfull union with people in Obama's White House.Two brothers head Acorn and SEIU One Rathke brother embezzelled one million dollars from Acorn.
If there really was a legitimate investigation a lot of powerfull people would fall.I don't see that happening.Some money will be taken away,some people will be thrown under a bus and it will go back to business as usual.Career politicians need to be voted out and I don't see that happening.
You call a nationwide organization under investigation in at least 11 states, for which Obama did legal work, that is perfectly happy to assist the creation of an underage prostitution ring, and that until recently was under contract to gather census data, and which is eligible under this "stimulus" bill to receive billions of taxpayer dollars a molehill?
What kind of brainless dolt are you? |
What ACORN did (in facilitating child sexual abuse) is indefensible--no matter any money, and anyone excusing them is not worth addressing.
As to ACORN itself, I do not accept the "few bad apples" routine I keep hearing because at the end of the day, employees do what they told and trained to do.
Investigations and criminal prosecutions from top to bottom are needed. I do not want to see this bunch simply dissolve only to reorganize under a new name with the same bunch running it.
Anyone who agrees with this should write: write to congressional reps, write to HUD, and write to the AG's office. Swamp them with the repulsion at seeing these acts. |
So you guys are fine sending your tax dollars to import 13 year old girls as sex slaves?
Either of you have a daughter? |
still don't care about ACORN. If they violated the law, let them be punished.
I worry a lot more about the guy with girls gone wild than I do about ACORN. He's more of a threat to our morality than ACORN. |
Too hard to care about both? |
"If they violated the law, let them be punished."
That's exactly what we're saying. Are you having some difficulty keeping up?

is an ongoing, continuing criminal enterprise. RICO statutes should be used to break up this criminal enterprise. Hiding behind the mantle of racism, they have been allowed to repeatedly break state and federal law. But behind the black faces, white leftists are the owners of the plantation, and are their masters. Wade Rathke, former Weather Underground thug, came above ground, became legit, and formed the plantation. Taping into black hatred, the white plantation masters had no trouble finding acolytes, who hated America with equal vigor. Just as surely, as white slave masters, used "sub-human" blacks, for agricultural profits, then, the white masters of ACORN, now, use them for political gain, today! When will black Americans realize that their white masters today, are no better than were, the 19th century version. |
ACORN is subject to prosecution. That's the job of the prosecutors. I don't care about ACORN, and neither does most of the population. |
you only care because you think this hurts Obama. Let's let the authorities proceed. I'd like to know more about the sting process, though. Sounds a bit too programmed for my tastes.
And apparently they have not gotten anywhere near the sums that some claim. Have they? |
at least one of the workers in question reportedly related the incident to the police.
That would seem to support that in (at least) that particular case, the worker was merely playing along with the filmmakers and would absolve him of wrongdoing. (Even though he was still fired.) |
The Red Cross doesn't have to history of election fraud Acorn has. Since Acorn has been the recipient of so much federal lagress ($53 million over 15 years), and was in the position of contracting with Commerece to do the 2010 Census, and was in the process of partnering with AmeriCorps, Congressional Oversight demands that an investigation and a full audit be executed over the entire Acorn organization. If Congress finds illegalities in the way that Acorn manages its money, trains its employees, or conducts it's business it can call for a special prosecutor. That's they way business has been done in the Beltway since Nixon's time. |
"The Right is making no attempt to separate the wheat from the cafe on this."
VR, some people have a gluten intolerance. Happy to learn that you are working to get wheat products out of our public eateries.
While you are engaged in that noble work, the rest of us will work to separate the graft and corruption of ACORN from our public agencies, i.e., our governments, national, state and local. Thank you Rep. Michelle Bachmann for working to represent the best interests of the public and cut the funding largesse going to ACORN. |
Rathke was a Weatherman? I've only established his credentials with SDS, but would be really interested in a cite on that. If you've got it, pass it on, 'cause I've been looking for a direct connection between him and Ayers for awhile. |
is a 'lot'? Really?
Why did Hannity say 'billions', by the way? And how much did Blackwater get, talking about scandal? |
An interesting fact not reported by TH:
The recent defunding of ACORN by the Congress had the unanticipated side effect of defunding Blackwater, Halliburton, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop Grumman, and the entire military-industrial complex. Whoops!
See, they can't write a bill that declares a particular entity -- individual or organization -- guilty of something and prescribes penalties. That's something called a "Bill of Attainder" and is explicitly forbidden by the Constitution (Article I, Sections 9 and 10). Knowing this, they wrote the bill to defund any company convicted of or even charged with fraud. Unfortunately, that includes pretty much everybody.
So the whole "defunding ACORN" thing will be made to softly and suddenly vanish away. Wingnuts probably won't even notice it never happens. |
i agree acorn needs to be further investigated, wrong is wrong. But bachmann is a complete liar and nefarious person who's knows nothing about integrity. She might as well hang it up she is so washed up in the next election |

2010 Congressional Takeover and Dumping of All incumbents.
Then, next steps involve...
Constitutional amendments for:
- Congressional term limits (max allowable: four (4) two-year terms for House; two (2) four-year terms for Senate; no politician shall serve more than ten years combined in both houses of Congress);
- abolishment of IRS and both personal/corporate income taxes; replace with a consumption tax on all purchases;
- mandatory balanced budgets that cannot be "balanced" with any form of tax increase, hike, fee, or other term used... mandate Congress CANNOT spend more money in a given year than it took-in in the previous year (again from consumption tax);
- uniform 15% cut in next year's budget across ALL programs/departments/line-items of the federal government;
- freeze federal budget at that exact dollar amount for five additional fiscal years beyond next year;
- require department or agency receiving money in the federal budget to employ zero-based budgeting (no more "last year plus 3-5%" budgeting);
- repeal 17th Amendment, return this responsibility to state houses, and return this states' check on federal power
- establishment of opt-out clause of SSI, Medicaid, Medicare programs (opting out means Americans can opt to make no contributions now with the understanding they will receive no benefits later in life);
- establish Al Gore's lockbox around any and all SSI funds... cannot be used for anything OTHER than SSI.
- legalization and decriminalization of any and all intoxicating chemicals for use by persons aged 18 years or older, to include abolishment of DEA and ONDCP;
- repeal 26th Amendment and raise national voting age to 21 years of age. |
To continue with my post below, also include constitutional amendment requiring every bill before congress to be "single item." No more omnibus bills.
Have every member of congress stand before the nation and publicly defend their pork, on a one-issue-one-vote basis. Again, no more omnibus bills. |
I thought your little republic was seceding. Why are you still telling the rest of us how to run the country we want to remain part of?
And most of what you suggest cannot be done without significant constitutional changes. Or you can secede and leave us alone. buh-bye |
if Texas seceeded, who would be left to feed you liberals?
BTW, do you know how to starve a liberal? Hide his food stamps under his work boots. |
I've been to Texas. What an ugly place, except for the Hill Country (and you know that's full of libs and wine drinkers).
Don't need your type in this country. You hate the constitution, you hate the country because you don't run it now.
Leave. Go. If we starve without you, we starve. But don't pretend you are a conservative. You are a fearful reactionary. |
I'm hardly a fearful reactionary. I'm a p!ssed off tax payer who is tired of being an indentured servant to my government (and not to pay for programs, but to pay for vote-buynig re-election schemes).
I opposed slavery in the 1800s. And I oppose economic slavery today. I simply refuse to be an economic battery in a big government Matrix any longer.
No need to say such ugly things about the Great Republic of Texas. I won't say anything ugly about your home state. In fact, I think ALL of our states are beautiful and amazing, and I've visited nearly all of them.
However, I purposefully *CHOSE* Texas, because when liberals succeed in turning this great nation into Bulgaria (Iron Curtain era), Texas will become "New America," a place where the motivated and hardworking will flock for refuge.
The last hope for our American republic is that incumbents of ALL political varieties be booted in 2010, yes, even the ones you like. My rep lives three blocks from me. Nice guy. I like him. I like his politics. But it's time for him to go. I'll be voting for his primary challenger. I recommend you do the same. |
Taxes are the price of living in this country. We pay a lot less than most countries, though we get a lot less too. We may be the only country stupid enough to pay high taxes and still have to pay for services like cops and healthcare.
$4 million per year for ACORN--how much was your share. And prove the 'vote buying'--ACORN got paid to 'register' voters. No one has proven that any misregistered voter ever actually voted, have they. So there was no vote buying, now, was there?
"economic slavery" ? "big government Matrix"? So leave. Or get used to living in a democracy--you either win or you lose. When you lose, the winner gets to pass the laws, got that? Or is that not part of what you think our nation is all about? Keep stamping your feet.
"However, I purposefully *CHOSE* Texas, because when liberals succeed in turning this great nation into Bulgaria (Iron Curtain era), Texas will become "New America," a place where the motivated and hardworking will flock for refuge." Funny man. My son's father in law is a hardworking man in the Hill Country. He is about as far from you politically as can be, as are his ex-wife in another part of TX, his son, and of course my daughter in law. So, I doubt that TX is as reactionary as you are.
"The last hope for our American republic is that incumbents of ALL political varieties be booted in 2010, yes, even the ones you like. My rep lives three blocks from me. Nice guy. I like him. I like his politics. But it's time for him to go. I'll be voting for his primary challenger. I recommend you do the same."
It will never ever happen. Get used to the Dems in power for some time to come, so long as the religious right alienates the country as it does with their pushy stuff. |
They have more than earned it. |
Nice job on the Census Bureau, Michele. Now Census workers are being hanged by your twisted and sick supporters. Maybe you can whip up enough hatred against ACORN for someone to take one of them out too. You are truly an ugly ugly person, Bachmann. And now you have the blood of a Census worker on your hands. I hope you're proud, Michele. |
The fact that Bachmann is pathologically consumed with ACORN, just fuels the observation that she is a "whacked" no brain. |
"President Obama should immediately suspend all federal agencies"
Bachmann is all bluster nomuscle. Why doesn't she write up a bill? Because she'll be ignored and look like a bigger fool than she already does. |
Please provide some proof that the right had anything to do with this hanging. Provide some facts. I have yet to see anything printed to back up your moronic statement so time for you to provide proof or shut up with your hatred. |
First thing I thought of when I heard the worker was hanged in the Daniel Boone Forest was that the dope growers got him.
There has been numerous articles and at least one TV program on the (History?) channel about the extreme methods used by the dope growers to kill or wound federal, state and local agents working to find and destroy their crop. They have used, sharpened sticks and spring loaded limbs, rattlesnakes, shotguns fixed with trip wires, bear traps and a host of other such items/methods. There have been any number of agents shot at -- in national forests all over the country, California the most, I believe.
My best guess is the dope smokers thought he was a federal agent and hung him to leave a message.
There are so many mean people running the woods that lots of folks in West Virginia will not venture into the woods without a gun. Eastern KY is more dangerous and has been for years and years.
Say . . . your User Name "Monkeywrench" as in "Monkey Wrencher -- are you one of the nuts who drive spikes into trees to damage loggers and their equipment? |
Michele you insite hate. Look at this...You should be ashamed! |
You helped to get a census worker get killed with your inflammatory comments... are you working on the same result with ACORN workers now? People who voted you into office should be ashamed. What a moron! PS Seadog... It must be great for you to just assume that anyone who is sick of all of these idiotic birthers, seceders, tenthers, tea partyers, etc. is a left wing nutjob treehugger. And do you really thing the pot growers want to bring that kind of attention to themselves? Most of us good Americans just know an idiot when we see or hear one. Americans want a return to civility and intelligent lawmakers... on both sides of the aisle. |
Well, you guys warned us about indoctrination camps and death panels. Remember when the Republican car dealers all got shut down? Let's not even bring up the birth certificate. Now you're wailing about ACORN.
You've got the usual 5% all up in a heaval again, but the rest of the country doesn't listen to you any more. |
