Fresh off a month-long August recess – during which well over a hundred Republican House members returned to DC to demand a vote on a comprehensive energy strategy and constituents throughout the country demanded action from their Representatives, you would think Congress would come back ready to roll on energy, right?

WRONG!

Here's a sample of what we have on the agenda this week.
S.2837: A bill to designate the U.S. courthouse located at 225 Cadman Plaza East , Brooklyn, NY, as the "Theodore Roosevelt United States Courthouse"

H.R. 6475: Daniel Webster Congressional Clerkship Act of 2008
Throw in a couple of post office dedications and some other resolutions and bills, and let's call it a week.

While this legislation is all well and good, to still not address the energy challenges facing our nation is simply irresponsible.

Hopefully the Speaker will come to her senses in the 15 work days we have left before adjourning for the year.

I hope McCain Palin win because:
1) I am a patriot and they are the better pick for the USA; and,

2) I will relish seeing their opponents do this after the election (the glimpse of the future curtesy of the ghost of election 2008 future):

Why
wish she'd come to her senses..she doesn't have any. Botox invades the brain..she's a prime example.

Instead, it's a golden opportunity to go after
her and the 9% Democrat run Congress..if the GOP
has the guts to do it. This is the Botox brain
that arrogantly laughed at CITIZENS in Denver
demanding we drill and suggested their brains be drilled. Don't let her forget that! Stop being nice, these people hold the lives and wellbeing of every American in their hands, attack, attack, attack!! No quarter.

Good Material for Palin Sarcasm
Palin should use this to carve up Pelosi like she did Reid and Obama. They're doing absolutely nothing.

Keep in mind that the Obama-Package includes Nancy and Harry.

Here`s Hoping!
The Republican Congressmen/women must realize by now they better get moving and get something done or the GOP will be G O N E! -- Any sane person (R or D) realizes that Madame Squeaker must be removed -- Here`s hoping the Dems will wake up and send her back to Syria --

Here's Hoping
That the American people will place the blame for our do-nothing congress where it belongs--with the left-wing nuts in charge!

On second thought
by doing nothing, the ban on OCS exploration expires ... gone forever. Let the Pelosi-led House reneg on their duty to pass spending bills, after full and fair debate, and force the FedGov to a halt. Do a reverse Newt on them!

Comprehensive Energy Plan
Let's hope the Democrats and the Republicans can work cooperatively on the energy problem. This is a very serious issue. Enough time must be devoted to a quality discussion, not partisan bickering, in order to come up with the best plan for our country. It can't be done with a simple slogan like "drill, baby, drill". That is ridiculous. The issue is way more complex than that!

Drill, baby, drill!
:)

Democrats will fail again to even discuss an energy bill. McCain will RIP them on this, and show America that dems don't care about energy, or the economy for that matter. This only helps McCain, and hurts all democrats, not just Obama.

More good news for Republicans.

Poolosi
That woman drives me nuts.

She is so full of herself, and probably prozac, she's developed a god complex. She will save the world. NOT Obama.

Nancy! Perhaps you should get a cup of tea. While you're at it, grab some estrogen, some prune juice, and come sit by the fire, while we help you into this straight jacket...errr comfy jacket.

Can we disown her, and San Francisco? We don't need their rice a roni.

NANCY-IS STILL AT WOOD-STOCK,SOME NEVER CAME BACK TO NORMAL,SHE THINKS LIFE BEGINS,NOT AT CONCEPTION,BUT 3-MONTHS AFTER THAT,WOW! THE CATHOLIC-CHURCH ASKED HER NOT TO SPEAK,FOR THEM ABOUT THIS ISSUE.POLISI IS OUT-THERE!!!

This is probably best
that SanFranNan puts up such legislation of import. Let's look at some of the great things that the Congress of the US has done in the last 10 years:
1) Department of Education doubling
2) Department of Homeland Security creation
3) ALMOST passed the stupidest immigration bill ever
4) Doubled the US deficit
5) Put the bulk of energy-bearing land off limits for exploration
6) Continued to pass laws such as the Clean Air Act which have effectively killed building new refineries, coal power plants, etc.

Sorry, Michelle, but I believe that you guys have screwed up enough. If you can't be out of session, at least voting on post offices is the minimum amount of damage that you can do.
Spudder writes: Tuesday, September, 09, 2008 7:46 AM
She has to go
Say good bye Ms Speaker, do the country a favor and quit, but it looks bleak in that California market where they love putting the USA down so perhaps we can elect the new majority and then trow da bum out.
exacerbated writes: Tuesday, September, 09, 2008 8:18 AM
When was
the last time Congress did anything that wasn't pork barrel, graft or pandering? I don't believe either party gives a damn about working class America. They are all on a narcissistic trip to see who can come out on top. But I see little hope as we seem to re-elect these do-nothings term after term.
Ron writes: Tuesday, September, 09, 2008 9:34 AM
Thank Goodness
they only came back to take care of the TR Post office. I was worried that they would try to do something and waste a lot of taxpayer money.

Bachmann pot calls kettle black

Wow--Boxtox Brain. Nazi. You people really show your intelligence here. But then, you already show your intelligence by supporting Bachmann.

Michele is so concerned about Congress not doing anything, yet this is the most do-nothing member of Congress Minnesota has ever seen. She campaigns 24/7, yet has held no public meetings with her constituents since being elected. She even voted to adjourn Congress before they voted on money for the collapsed 35W bridge. I guess Michele wanted Minnesota to have its own Bridge to Nowhere.
Marlson writes: Tuesday, September, 09, 2008 11:48 AM
Dem congress
...is just about the worst thing anyone has ever seen...and to be certain the MSM will ignore it. Can you imagine if these things happened with an (R) leading the charge? wow.
mr_sparky writes: Tuesday, September, 09, 2008 3:56 PM
hmmmm
This kind of legislation has been going on for decades. Why would anybody really believe that either political party really cares about the taxpayers is beyond me.

New energy policy
She has said she will support drilling????? I bet this bill will get voted down. I also think if the Dems dont watch out they may lose seats because of the energy policy.

DEMOCRATS TO INTRODUCE ENERGY BILL
You can almost bet they will include a poison pill to make the bill totally useless. I guess uselessness produces uselessness. After all, democrats run the show in both houses. Undeniable.

Michelle - CONTINUE THE FIGHT

REMIND the American people of this limited window of opportunity!

Hold press conferences with large groups of Pro-Drilling, Pro-Energy representatives to call-out Nancy on her foot-dragging.

GET McCAIN/PALIN on board to drive this issue - calling out Pelosi.
