Want some cheese with that whine?

Probably it is about the best we can hope for.
In recently years, whenever the Democrats have used the term "bipartisanship" it really means "You Republicans sit down and shut up and stop getting in our way." |
|
|
Obama says we are all getting tax cuts, whats wrong with that? |
|
Rep. Bachmann, look in the mirror or maybe just the items you put on this blog. How many times have you said anything positive about the Democrat’s bills? All you do his attack people you disagree with; why would anyone in Congress want anything to do with a person who says they all should be investigated to see if they are Anti-American?
President Bush got just about everything he wanted from the Dems when it came to Iraq, the economy and tax cuts; are you and the Republican minority willing to do the same for President Obama?

Rush said it right. To the press, bipartisanship is when Republicans give in to Democrats. It is time Republicans gave the American people a real choice from the leftist agenda and then developed a spine and stood up for what is right. |

Vampire (yes, a blood-sucker) and Scarlet - what happens when those of use who WORK and PROVIDE those tax revenues are out of work and you've killed the golden goose? You blood suckers are beneath contempt. |

This is interesting. Is there a place where we can get tabular results of committee votes, amendments introduced, etc. I'd kinda like to track just the numbers like this article gives with a link back to the narrative for more info. |

Please read Dr. Sowell's article today. Of course you'll need to open your mind first...Oh well, never mind. |

every time there is an issue, the republicans have worked with democrats and have had a majority of the democrats vote for the item. But then the dems will talk about how they where either hoodwinked, lied too or what ever BS in order to try and justify WHY They voted for something. days after 9/11 clinton was pinning the attack on GWB yet after the 9/11 commission concluded it found that Bill was mostly at fault with the reason we where attached(but where was the coverage on that one?).
Democrats do not stand for anything because they move around based on what their base is yelling for. One of my biggest irrotations today is New Orleans. The total failure of the local government to prepair for katrina and their total diregard for it's people when following the proper procedures in order to get federal help was all laid at the feet of the president when again, it was failed democratic leadership that created the issue in the first place.
Republicans have more than their share of issues and failures but has taken responsibliity and their lumps. meanwhile, democrats continue shrug off accountability and responsibility and just plain common sense. If we where to shut down CNN and MSNBC this country would correct itself within 1 month. |

Some of you really need to wake up and actually read this bill - it's frightening where some of this money is going. Tax cuts would cause an immediate influx of cash in your pocket, this is a problem? Take a look at some of the amendments that were rejected. A simple one - Exempt unemployment benefits from income taxation in 2008 and 2009. Why would anyone not want to include this? The Dems will set aside over $4 BILLION that will make it's way to Acorn, but won't approve putting a little money in your pocket??? This entire process is a sham and every Repulican should vote against it.
By the way - I'm a Democrat!!!!

It's ironic that Republicans employ Jimmy Carter-like weak and naive "foreign" policy when dealing with Democrats.
How can Republicans be strong against other nations that threaten us, but be Jimmy Carters when dealing with liberal ideas that threaten our Constitution and our economic well-being? |

For the blog, I'll be sure to tune in and check it out. |

It is going to be interesting how the publicity hound Polosi can get along with Obama. Our guess is Obama is more even handed than she and it will soon start a rift in personalities.

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

The regime of the new Reich as as bi-partisan as an Iranian firing squad. You squeeling cry baby libs have been whinning for the last eight years and we have had a belly full of it! If you think you are going to shove your communist socialist agenda down our throat without a fight - THINK AGAIN. Ignorant, naive voters have put you in power for now but we will not go away. What goes around comes around !!!! I think I'll have some red meat with my wine thank you! |

"Your proposition may be good/But let's have one thing understood/ Whatever it is, I'm against it!/And even when you've changed it or condensed it, I'm against it/ I'm opposed to it/On general principle. I'm opposed to it."

"The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all of our civil constitutions and laws....All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.
"When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God. The preservation of a republican government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty;
"If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made not for the public good so much as for the selfish or local purposes;
"Corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded.
"If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws."
"Corruption of morals is rapid enough in any country without a bounty from government. And...the Chief Magistrate of the United States should be the last man to accelerate its progress."
Noah Webster 1832

I urge you to locate and dust-off your copy of the "Minority Bill of Rights", the piece of paper you held aloft when demanding equal time from the majority GOP.
What's that? You can't find it so just sit down and shut yer yap?
What changed....I thought the minority had "rights"? |

I find that the republicans have really messed up the last eight years and the american people have to pay.
What make me so angry is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. All those bail outs for big corporations and then we find out about their big bonuses and expensive trips. I don't care if they were using the money they got from the government or not, since they needed a bailout, they should not get big bonuses or book such expensive trips or redo their offices expensively. That is only common sense. All of us have to cut back so why don't they. There will be no Bipartisan as long as republicans stay greedy.
I think that Barack is trying to do what the republicans failed to do and now he has to clean up the mess. We had a surplus when Bill Clinton was in office and now we have a huge deficit. The majority of the American people have spoken and "We needed Change". Oh and by the way, Osama Bin Laden bombed the twin towers not Saddom Hussein.
