Tomorrow I’ll be on the House floor taking part in the historic GOP revolt against the Democrats’ complete inaction on this energy crisis. Don’t bother to turn on C-SPAN to watch because Speaker Pelosi has made sure that the lights are off, the mikes are off, and the public can’t see or hear a thing.

Earlier this week on Larry King Live, Pelosi said she would consider a vote on some drilling if it were part of a larger energy package.  While Republicans are clearly making progress on a comprehensive energy strategy for the American people, more work still needs to be done.

Please call Speaker Pelosi at (202) 225-4965 and ask her to return the House to session NOW to consider serious energy legislation that not only pursues a greater investment in renewable energies and technologies, but also provides for increased domestic drilling in the OCS, the oil shale areas, and the 10-02 Area of ANWR.

Pelosi is doing nothing more than
parsing words. We all know she is NOT going to allow any vote. She is only saying she "would" allow a vote in order to try to get independent voters to vote for the democratic party and their empty suit almost nominee.

Only someone more gullible than the Obamacons would actually believe anything coming from Pelosi's mouth.

Jennifer Rubin nails it (as usual):
Remember when the Left used to come to the defense of oppressed victims of violence? Now they debate whether even nice words of support are too much. As Marty Pertez describes their view: Russia is “a great power. . . so shut up.”

Point out Democratic Party hypocrisy every day.

interesting....

Which brings us to Madame Speaker's 2007 financial disclosure form. Schedule III lists "Assets and 'Unearned Income'" of between $100,001-$250,000 from Clean Energy Fuels Corp. — Public Common Stock. Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (CLNE) is a natural gas provider founded by T. Boone Pickens. Yep, that T. Boone Pickens — former oilman turned wind-power evangelist whose ads touting a national wind campaign are now as ubiquitous as Viagra promos

Give Speaker Pelosi a Ring
No, actually Congresswoman Bachmann, please give her the 'boot' she so surely deserves. This can be accomplished by the Republicans winning some key congressional races. Two come to mind:
1. Jeff Parnell (R) vs. Ike Skelton (D) in Missouri's 4th Congressional District.
2. Dr. Deborah Honeycutt (R) vs. David Scott (D) incumbent in Georgia's 13th Congressional District.

The interesting fact here is that Ike Skelton (D) is the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and Jeff Parnell (R) leads him by 7 points; 54% to 47%.

Out the door
Give her a ring and then push her out the door, why of course I will do that.

She is too busy promoting her book to worry about the American people.
She will never allow a clean bill to go for a straight vote. The one that will probably let come to the floor is the "comprehensive package" and it has the windfall profit taxes in it.

RING
Ring her neck!

There is NO need for energy strategy
other than for the Federal government to pass a law which would say "we were a bunch of boneheads to ever put a law in to restrict drilling".

The Republicans need to tell Nancy that her larger energy plan had better be to go back to SF and quit flying her 757 back and forth to Washington, thereby saving some fuel for the rest of us. Better yet, just stay home and let Cindy Sheehan, the OTHER SF nut, represent that bunch of quacks.

The 10 Republicans in the House are great Americans. My question is: where are the REST of the Republicans? Unless you guys stand up to a man and defend our rights, we are doomed to taking them back ourselves. And it won't be pretty when we decide to do it.

Tried to call, message 'machine' full
It is interesting at how conveniently these folks give themselves an out on these issues. Ms. Polosi is totally out of touch with the citizens of America. She only understands the lifestyle of the rich and famous crowd in California. She needs a permanent vacation to the unemployment line. Maybe the Guv-e-nor could put her on his payroll and then cut her wages or fire her. I can only hope that the voters will wake up and put her out.
